What is flag ?
Flag is a fabric of distinctive shape, size and colour used as symbol or for decoration.

National Flags:
                            Such Flags which used to symbolize a particular nation or country. These flags represent a particular areas of the globe known as countries, or distinct nation within a country. They varies for country to country interm of design, colour and size. Usually it is rectangular or quadrilateral with the exception of few. Patriotic feelings are associated with national flags. There are 197 official National Flags in the world.

Interesting Fact:
                              The study of flags is called Vexillology. It is derived from a Latin word Vexillum, which means "flag" or "banner".

Here are some of the amazing facts about the flags of different countries.
  • Cyprus is the only country whose map is drawn on it's flag.

  • Uganda is the only country having crane on it's flag.

  • The only country having purple color on it's flag is Dominica. 

  • Nepal is the only country whose flag is triangular. 

  • Flags of Poland and Indonesia are reverse to each other. Both have same colors red and white.
