  • The first Olympics was held in the city of Olympia in Greece, in 776 BC. It continued till 393 AD. Finally, through a gap of 1503 years, the first modern Olympics was held in Greece, in the year 1896. This idea was presented by a Frenchman named Baron Pierre de Coubertin in 1894. 
 
  


  • Rome was founded in the year 753. According to legend, Ancient Rome was founded by two Demigod (half-human, half-god) brothers, Romulus and Remus. 
      



  • The great wall of China was built in the year 217 BC in the 7th century by the Chu state. Its length is 6000 km or 3700 miles. 
                   
                     


  • Waterloo was the last battle of the Napoleonic Era. It was fought on Sunday, June 18, 1815, near Waterloo in Belgium. It was fought between the French, Allied, and Prussian Army.   
                  


  • Adolf Hitler was also known as führer which means " Tyrannical Leader" because he was very cruel towards Jews. 


  • The first woman in the world to become the Prime Minister of a country was Sirimavo Bandaranaike. She became the PM of Sri Lanka in 1960.



  • The German Emperor who dismissed his Chancellor Bismarck in 1880 was William 2.



  • Two Presidents of the USA were Father and son in a relationship. They were John Adams and Quincy. John Adams was the second president of the United States, from 1797 to 1801. He was also the Founding father of the USA. His son John Quincy Adams served as the Sixth President of the United States, from 1825 to 1829.

  • Hitler's secret police service was also known as "Gestapo". It stands for "Geheime Staatspolizei" which means 'Secret State Police ". It was founded on 26 April 1933 by Hermann Göring. Its obligations were the investigation of espionage, sabotage, and criminal attacks on the Nazi Party and Germany. 


  • The last Roman Emperor was Romulus Augustulus. His Reign was from 775 to 776 AD. 
                  


  • The US President who was forced to resign due to water the gate scandal was Richard Nixon. He was found guilty of stealing information and abusing his presidential powers to stay in office at the hotel of Watergate in Washington DC, that's why it is called watergate Scandal. He was the 37th President of the United States. He took his office in 1969 and resigned on 6 August 1973.



  • The first Communist Manifesto issued in 1848 by two German Philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. 



  • Malenkov became the Soviet Prime Minister after the Death of Stalin, on 5 March 1953.     
  


  • Leningrad was built by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703. It remained the capital of the Russian Empire for two hundred years. 



  • The first Prime Minister of Israel was David Ben-Gurion. He became the very first Prime Minister of the newly established state of Israel on 17 July 1948. 



  • Chinese occupied Tibet in the year 1959. It's still a province-level entity under the control of the PRC. The annexation of Tibet started in 1950.




  • Magna Karta was also known as "the  Bible of English Constitution". Basically, Magna Carta is a chart of Rights agreed to  King John 2 of England at Runnymede in 1215.




  • Winston Churchill died in the year 1965. He was born in 1874. He remained the PM united kingdom twice. He became the PM UK in 1940-1945  and led his country towards victory in WW1 and again from 1951 to 1955.


  • Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa on 22 June 1941  against the Soviet Union.   



  • The first Punic war was fought between the Romans and Carthage in 264-261 BC. The Carthaginians were defeated.
