What is Intelligence Agency?

  • Intelligence agency is a government agency whose job is to collect, analyze and exploit  sensetive information in support of law enforcement, military, national security and foreign policy objectives.
  • The information gathering means may be overt or covert depending on the situation.
  • The obligations of Intelligence agencies include early awareness about any upcoming crises, preserve national interests, provide defense against enemies and other foreigner intelligence agencies, and secure sensitive national secrets.

  1. CIA( Central Intelligence Agency)
  • CIA is  civilian foreign intelligence agency of the federal government of United States of America, founded in September 18 1947.
  • It's Headquarter is in Langley, Virginia. 
  • Active Personnels are 21,575.
  • Budget is expected to be 15 Billions US Dollars.

 2. MOSSAD
  • Mossad is  the national intelligence agency of Israel along with Aman(milliatry intelligence) and Shinbet(internal security agency).
  • It is one of the most feared agencies of the world. 
  • Founded in December 19, 1949.
  • Active Personnels are 7000.
  • Budget is 2.73 Billions US Dollars. HQ is in Tel Aviv.

3. MI6( Military Intelligence Section6)
  • It is the national intelligence agency of the United Kingdom.
  • It is also Included In the list of best secret of the world. 
  • Formed in July 1909, 111 years old. 
  • That's why it is one of the old secret agency of the world. 
  • HQ in London, England. 
  • Active Personnels are 2,594. 
  • Budget is 3.2 Billions pounds.

4. MSS( Ministry of  State security)
  • It is the Intelligence, security and secret police of the People's Republic of China. 
  • The obligations of MSS include counter intelligence, foreign intelligence and Political security. 
  • It was founded on July 1983.
  • Active Personnels are classified. Classified is such information that no country wants to reveal to the world. 
  • It's Headquarter is Beijing. 
  • It's budget is 9 billions US dollars.

 5. BND( Bundesnachrichtendienst)
  • The federal intelligence service is the foreign intelligence agency of Germany. 
  • It is directly subordinated to the office of Chancellor.                                                     
  • It was formed in April 1, 1956.
  • It's Headquarter is in the middle of Berlin. 
  • Active Personnels are 6,500.
  • Budget is 977 millions pounds.

What is Air Defense System? According to NATO, Air Defense System is defined as " All measures designed to nullify or reduce the effectiveness of incoming hostile air action". It is used to protect naval, ground and Air Base in any location from enemy air strike. It is deployed for homeland defense. It consists of surface to air missiles which can destroy the incoming cruise, ballistic, ICBM missiles and air crafts. Usually it have short range surface to air missiles. It can destroy enemy's aircraft and missiles only when it enters in the specific range. It is also called SAM (Surface to Air Missiles). This system was first introduced by Germans, but not became operational during WW2. Several years after the WW2, USA became the first country which deployed the world first air defence systems SAM-A1-GAPA in 1949. Later on in 1957, the USSR deployed its first air defence systems S-75 Dvina. Soon it became one of the most widely deployed air defence systems in history.
